2 middle aged gay lovers are fixing some breakfast in the tiny kitchen. One seems bit more clingy, but overall pretty normal and sweet… until the full scale of the tension reveals itself slowly.

It’s not a masterpiece in the sense there’s no cinematic show offs or dramatic twist. But the situation, dialogue and emotions are totally realistic and believable. The claustrophobic space of the kitchen, where about half of its run time takes place, and equally claustrophobic framing of close-ups are effective to visually signal what the protagonist feels entrapped in the relationship with an emotionally volatile and deeply insecure person.
